In a Lodge that is 225 years old, Royal Brunswick Lodge No. 296 meeting at Tapton Masonic Hall in Sheffield has seen its fair share of large celebrations.
The latest of these was Monday 13th May 2019 when over 130 brethren gathered to witness the RWPGM David S Pratt install W Bro. Brian Duncan Littlejohn, a PM and current WM of 296, as Assistant Provincial Grand Master. The RWPGM having taken the chair of Royal Brunswick Lodge, W Bro. Littlejohn was escorted into the Lodge by an escort of seven, which included the Right Worshipful Master of his Mother Lodge, Lodge Grange 1073 – Scottish constitution. W Bro. Littlejohn was then obligated, proclaimed and saluted before the Provincial delegation (including the RWPGM of the Province of Forfarshire, Brian’s Mother Province) retired from the Lodge leaving Royal Brunswick to complete the rest of their regular business. All business complete, the brethren then retired to the Hallam Room to enjoy a magnificent Festive Board wonderfully prepared and served by the Tapton staff, accompanied by the usual toasts, a tremendous atmosphere and outpourings of Brotherly Love.
