Acknowledging the sacrifice of those who fought and died in the 1914-18 War
The so-called ”Great War”, the conflict in which over 9 million combatants and 7 million civilians lost their lives across the world, ended on 11th November 1918.
We feel it fit as a Province to come together again this year, and every year into the future, to acknowledge the supreme sacrifice made by people from across the world, many of whom had Masonic connections.
Our colleagues in the Province of Derbyshire have on an annual basis shown their support by the wearing of a special tie (seen above) throughout November in both Craft and Royal Arch meetings within their Province.
All profits from sales go directly to The Royal British Legion.
The tie can be worn from 1st to 30th November this and every subsequent year at Craft and Royal Arch meetings in this Province.
Purchase your tie now from the Provincial webshop
The ties cost £10.00 each plus £1.75 for postage and packing.
We would emphasise that participation is entirely voluntary, but we hope that our members will embrace this opportunity and join us in marking our support for this worthy charity and our respect for those who made the supreme sacrifice.

Click this link to visit the Masonic Great War Project, a searchable database purely on Freemasons who took part in and died in the course of their duty during the Great War of 1914-1918. While the site is based only around Freemasons, it recognises the supreme sacrifice of all British, Commonwealth and Allied troops who lost their lives in the pursuit of a greater good.
