A cheque from the P.G.M.'s Fund for £1800.00 was presented to Highbury School on Friday 31st January 2020.
Highbury School is located at Lower Edge Road, Rastrick Brighouse. It is a Specialist school providing education for children with a wide range of complex special educational needs and disabilities from ages 3 - 11yrs. The grant enabled them to buy a range of resources to help the children with their sensory needs. Some of the children at the school have multi-sensory impairments such as visual and auditory. The resources will provide them with the sensory feedback they require, and help them to progress and develop their sensory needs and help build their tactile defensiveness. Some of the resources to be bought can be seen on the projection, on the wall, in the picture above.
